Assisting in the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of resident meals. The Role

The Care Services Assistant plays a pivotal frontline carer role with a particular focus on nutrition and dining, supporting residents to live a life of fulfilment through the delivery of person-centred care and support according to needs and preferences of each resident in everyday practice.   • Actively engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes
  • Use empathy and kindness to foster a positive dining experience
  • Promote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect
  • Prepare and maintain dining experience areas and provide meal service to meet individual resident choices
  • Maintain accurate nutrition and diet information as required
  • Assist with quality food preparation in accordance with the Food Safety Plan, Bolton  Clarke Food Standards and Dining Framework
  • Assist with maintaining kitchen stock supplies as required

To be successful, you will have:

  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • A compassionate and caring attitude
  • Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)
  • Willingness to take direction from others
  • Reliability and shift flexibility
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
  • Complete a police check
  • Free seasonal flu vaccination
  • NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement) cost refunded on appointment / and or a National Police check
