Electrical / Instrument Tradesperson
The Position
A unique opportunity now exists for a suitably qualified Electrical/Instrument Tradesperson to join this dynamic organisation. The successful applicant must be a self-starter, motivated, have strong fault-finding skills, trouble shooting and problem-solving ability as well as possessing good communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
Applicants may be required to take part in abilities testing as part of the recruitment process.
The person we are seeking must possess the following:
- A dual trade Electrical / Instrumentation qualification, including a current Victorian Electrical License.
- Trade experience in maintaining, installing and repairing a wide variety of electrical and instrumentation industrial equipment.
- Ability to carry out shift work.
- Proven safety record.
- Ability to perform manual work.
Desirable Criteria include:
- Car, High risk, RB, LF and WP licenses.
- Current High Voltage (HV) Operator, RIC, HV Isolation experience.
- Competency utilizing HV Switching programs and issuing HV Permits.
- Maintenance Rigging Skills.
- Previous experience in heavy industry.
- Being computer literate to be able to understand computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
- Experience with Type B gas work.
Wages and conditions will be in accordance with the Maryvale Mill Electrical/Plumbing Maintenance Enterprise Agreement 2024.
