The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the CEO, the General Manager – Residential Aged Care will provide strategic and operational leadership across all My Guardian residential aged care facilities.

You will have end-to-end accountability for performance, clinical governance, compliance, and culture across our existing site, while also playing a key role in the development, integration, and growth of new facilities as our portfolio expands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across all residential aged care sites

  • Drive excellence in clinical governance, compliance, and quality outcomes

  • Oversee facility performance, budgets, workforce planning, and resourcing

  • Lead accreditation processes, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Play a key role in growth activities including new developments, acquisitions, tenders, and grants

  • Manage incidents, risks, and complaints with transparency and accountability

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, values-driven leadership team

  • Foster strong relationships with residents, families, regulators, and community stakeholders

  • Champion resident well-being, satisfaction, and personalised models of care

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Significant leadership experience in residential aged care or a related health sector

  • In-depth knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, legislation, and regulatory frameworks

  • Proven success in operational management, financial oversight, and workforce leadership

  • Demonstrated experience leading accreditation, governance, and incident management processes

  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and people leadership skills

  • Experience leading service growth, new developments, acquisitions, or tender submissions

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Health Administration, or Business Management

  • AHPRA registration (if clinically qualified)
