About You
Ideally, as a Lead Pipeline Engineer, you will be capable of supervising a passionate team of engineers and designers to produce engineering deliverables to our and our clients' standards. As such you will be required to demonstrate the following on an ongoing basis:
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably mechanical (required),
- 7+ years of proven Australian experience in pipeline concept development, FEED, detail design and operational phases (required),
- In-depth knowledge of AS2885 and other relevant Australian Standards, acts, regulations and codes related to the pipeline industry (required),
- CPEng / RPEQ registration (required),
- Knowledge of pipeline integrity (desirable),
- Experience leading or mentoring junior engineers (desired),
- Ability to perform engineering detailed design tasks with minimal supervision,
- Excellent communication skills,
- Excellent writing skills including report development,
- Ability to manage your time and work independently.
About the role
As a Lead Pipeline Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Providing technical leadership across FEED and detailed design stages for oil and gas pipelines, including calculations,
- Developing and supporting the development of scoping documents such as routing studies, construction methodology, design criteria and alignment sheets,
- Participating and supporting in Risk assessment and associated workshops,
- Writing and reviewing cost estimates, equipment summaries and tender packages,
- Write technical reports as required.
