About the Role
As a Maintenance Operative, you will be part of a team which plays a vital role in supporting our vision of a world without housing poverty by ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of CHL properties in the region. You will be required to undertake general maintenance duties including repairs and maintenance, hands-on gardening, and cleaning tasks. Working closely with our maintenance team, you will contribute to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our clients.
If you are a dedicated individual with a passion for contributing to a greater cause, hold a current drivers licence and possess the technical skills or a willingness to learn and excel in property maintenance, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Bring
- Experience and knowledge or a willingness to learn in the trade industry
- Experience or a strong interest in residential maintenance, commercial cleaning, grounds maintenance, general handyman duties or similar.
- Have skills in using various tools and equipment
- Great communication skills and a talent for building relationships and working in partnership with others.
- Knowledge and application of Work Health Safety practices.
- White Card (or ability to obtain).
- Valid Driver's Licence.
- Strong commitment to the right of every person to good quality housing.
- Willingness to work flexibly across a multifaceted team.
Please note that satisfactory police check is required for all staff and those with client related responsibilities are required to provide a NDIS and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
