About the Role
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on housing poverty? Do you have a knack for maintenance and repairs? We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Operative to join our Responsive Maintenance team at Community Housing Ltd.
As a Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in supporting our vision of a world without housing poverty by ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of CHL properties in the region by undertaking general maintenance duties including repairs and maintenance, hands-on gardening, and cleaning tasks. Working closely with our maintenance team, you will contribute to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our clients.

What You’ll Bring
- Experience and knowledge in the trade industry
- Experience in residential maintenance, commercial cleaning, grounds maintenance, general handyman duties or similar.
- Proficient in using various tools and equipment
- Excellent communication skills and a talent for building relationships and working in partnership with others.
- Sound knowledge and application of WHS practices.
- White Card (or ability to obtain).
- Valid Driver's Licence.
- Strong commitment to the right of every person to good quality housing.
- Willingness to work flexibly across a multifaceted team.
Please note that satisfactory police check is required for all staff and those with client related responsibilities are required to provide a NDIS and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
