Location: St Michael’s Catholic Primary School, Meadowbank, NSW 2114
Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time (66 hours per fortnight) Term Time Only.
Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services (SCECS) is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Assistant Coordinator to join our service at St Michael’s Catholic Primary School.
The Role
As the Assistant Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service. Using your energy and positive attitude, you’ll create a safe and engaging environment for children before and after school.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a responsible person for the service alongside the Coordinator
Provide a safe, inclusive and professional environment for children and staff
Support the maintenance of accurate attendance and casual booking records
Supervise and mentor educators to ensure responsibilities are well understood and met
Assist in designing and delivering engaging programs, including documenting observations and reflections
Build strong relationships with families, the school community, and colleagues
Share children’s experiences and engagement through meaningful communication with families
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Qualifications (or be working towards) in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
Experience in a similar OSHC role
Certificate in Child Protection
Food Supervisor Certificate
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training
Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
A valid NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Availability Monday to Friday for before and after school care
