- Setting and maintaining high standards for plant operation to maximise efficiency while meeting the demands of the National Electricity Market
- Taking ownership of outage commissioning plans, coordinating communication, testing, and return-to-service activities to maintain plant reliability
- Investigating complex plant issues with expert analysis, developing practical solutions, and supporting plant modifications to improve performance and reliability
- Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators such as thermal efficiency, reliability, and availability to identify improvement opportunities
- Collaborating with teams across the business to review, update, and improve operating procedures for enhanced safety, reliability, and efficiency
- Overseeing routine testing procedures to maintain the reliability of plant equipment and protective devices
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate and implement new technologies that boost production effectiveness
What You’ll Bring
- You bring solid experience in coal-fired power stations, with strong expertise in boiler, turbine, and auxiliary plant operations, and a good understanding of the National Electricity Market’s compliance and operational demands
- You’re highly analytical, skilled at examining data to identify issues and develop practical solutions that enhance plant performance
- You communicate clearly and effectively, translating complex technical information for diverse audiences and collaborating respectfully across teams
- You’re proactive and driven by achievement - taking initiative, influencing others, and innovating to deliver reliable, efficient plant operations
- You hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering or Science, or have equivalent practical experience, and are confident using various computer systems for monitoring and reporting
- You demonstrate a high level of care through a commitment to safety and environmental stewardship, a focus on achieving results, collaboration grounded in respect, and empowering yourself and your colleagues to succeed
