
Operations Officer - Yitpi Yartapuultiku (Identified Role)
This is a part time 0.6 FTE fixed term contract position (3-year).
This is an identified position where Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander identity, cultural knowledge or connections are a genuine aspect of the role.

We are looking for an Operations Officer that will support the daily operations of Yitpi Yartapuultiku, a new Aboriginal Cultural Centre in Port Adelaide.
Yitpi Yartapuultiku is a place where shared understanding between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal cultures is reached. The Operations Officer will play their part in supporting Yitpi Yartapuultiku to be a place for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people to learn, experience and be immersed in Aboriginal cultures.

As Operations Officer for Yitpi Yartapuultiku, you will:
- Provide day-to-day operational support of Yitpi Yartapuultiku Aboriginal Cultural Centre.
- Deliver best practice customer service and customer experiences across the Cultural Centre.
- Support retail sales of souvenirs and merchandise, using point-of-sale software, including cash handling, register balancing, retail stock control and ordering.
- Responsible for day-to-day operational activities including processing purchase orders/invoices, order office supplies and sundry housekeeping.
- Work out of hours, evenings, and weekends to support the operational requirements of the Centre.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Connection to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
- Experience in providing a high level of customer service and administrative support in a local government, community or arts/culture setting.
- Demonstrated experience in day-to-day operations of community facilities including cash handling, room bookings, WHS, community enquiries, and venue hire support.

This is a Level 3 position which has a current salary range of $51,505 - $55,389 per annum (0.6 FTE) plus Super.
