Bluestone is a well-established, high yield tin producer with a strong resource base supporting a mine life in excess of 10 years. The Renison mine is located on Tasmania’s beautiful West Coast between the towns of Zeehan and Rosebery.

About the role
As an experienced Safety and Training professional, you will be an integral part of the HSE Team, providing support to the Maintenance and Processing Departments where you will be responsible for managing the training functions and supporting Site and Department Safety management systems and initiatives.
This position is offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.
Core responsibilities
- Promote compliance with all rules, regulations, procedures and safe systems of work on site and participate in the development of the Safety Management System.
- Lead and actively work to maintain a safe work environment and culture by building relationships with employees across the company, working with employees and helping them understand the requirements of the site safety system.
- Ensure the training and assessment activities are delivered in line with the approved training framework / management plan to meet the operational requirements.
- Support teams in the development or review of procedures and safe work instructions.
- Ensure that safety data within INX is accurate and up to date.
- Liaise with Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s) as required.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have a high focus on safety and attention to detail. Your ability to connect with people will be a key strength. You will hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Certificate IV in WHS (or higher), have experience in the mining environment and have exposure to incident investigation (ICAM preferred) and risk analysis. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications are desirable.
