Scripture Union Australia is an interdenominational Christian movement committed to providing Australian children, young people and families with opportunities to experience the transforming love of Jesus and to pursue a lifelong journey of discipleship.
SU Australia is part of the worldwide Scripture Union movement, a movement of Christians working with churches to make God’s Good News known to children, young people and families and to encourage people of all ages to meet God daily through Bible reading and prayer. (scriptureunion.org.au)

SU Australia in the Northern Territory (NT)
Chaplains provide social, emotional, and spiritual support to school communities. They are in the prevention and support business, helping students find a better way to deal with life’s issues. They provide a listening ear and a caring presence in the school, available for all students, staff, and families.
Our ideal candidates have:
- Experience in working with children and families and a strong understanding of the school context;
- Excellent people and networking skills;
- Great organising skills, are outcome oriented, and are able to work well in a team and autonomously;
- Values consistent with SU’s ethos;
- The minimum qualification requirements under the NSCP for Chaplains; and
- Current eligibility to work in Australia.
