This is your chance to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring that children reach their full potential.About the Roles:As a Child Development Facilitator - Speech Pathologist, you will work with a team of Allied Health professionals and Special Educators to conduct child development checks and provide immediate, individualised support to families within playgroups and community-based activities. Your role will be pivotal in helping children meet their developmental milestones and setting them up for a successful future.The key responsibilities of the role include:Conduct child development checks, provide early help and support including referrals, enhancing/ building the capacity of families and working in partnership with families to empower them with the skills to support their child’s developmentProvide 1:1 support to children and familiesWork closely with the Ready, Set, Progress team and external partners to ensure high-quality service delivery.Maintain accurate records, contribute to program improvement and project management initiatives, and ensure compliance with privacy policies.Hours of work are flexible for the right person, up to 4 days per week (and potentially short days) based on availability. There is also the potential for part time / job share arrangements for the right candidates. The roles are based in Kent Town, with travel required throughout the greater metropolitan area and potentially some regional travel.  The positions are a fixed term contract to the end of June 2025 with potential for renewal (subject to government funding). What You'll Bring:Qualifications & Experience: A degree in Speech Pathology with eligibility for registration with Speech Pathology Australia. You’ll have solid previous experience working with children aged 12 months to 5 years and their families, and in working with parents and caregivers to support their child’s development.Skills & Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to build rapport quickly, including with rapport with playgroup coordinators/ECA coordinators and parents/caregivers, and excellent communication abilities.
