In today’s fast-paced business environment, having a Contracts and Procurement expert with advanced contract and commercial expertise is crucial. Your role will directly impact our ability to secure advantageous deals, manage risks, and ensure optimal contract performance.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead a high performing team of Procurement and Contract experts.
- Manage and coordinate the procurement process and ensure compliance with internal procurement standards while ensuring operational and commercial risks are managed.
- Manage negotiations with tenderers and preferred suppliers to identify, manage and mitigate commercial, contractual, and operational risk.
- Establish and maintain relationships as a point of contact for contractual matters.
- Provide contract-related issue resolutions.
- Co-ordinate and oversee the preparation, maintenance, and approval of all tender documentation. Work with internal stakeholders to analyse requirements, develop work scopes and specifications and determine the required tender documents to ensure optimal commercial and operational outcomes.
- Maintain and manage the cloud based tendering software program and facilitate it’s use with internal and external stakeholders.
- Co-ordinate our tender process.
What We’re Looking For:
- Tertiary qualification in business, commercial law, engineering or construction management (desirable).
- Demonstrated extensive leadership experience.
- Experience in an industrial, power or mining background (advantageous).
- Commercial acumen and the ability to interpret and apply contracts.
- Demonstrated contract negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Robust skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
