The Position
We invite applications from visionary and collaborative leaders for the position of Deputy Head of Junior School. This is a full-time position commencing 2025. Reporting to the Head of Junior School and as a member of the Junior School Leadership Team, the successful candidate will enact and shape Trinity Grammar’s vision and direction for student learning and wellbeing across the whole School.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting the Heads of Year and teachers through the implementation of pastoral care and wellbeing programs for better student outcomes
- Staff wellbeing is prioritised and role modelling positive, collaborative and respectful behaviours
- Oversee Junior School operations function with support from staff in the Junior School
- Deputise for the Head of Junior School in their absence

This position will include a teaching component to the role. The successful applicant will foster a love of life-long learning in both students and staff.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Relevant teaching qualifications and current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
- Holding or working towards a postgraduate qualification such as Master of Education, Educational Leadership, Wellbeing or equivalent.
- First Aid and Anaphylaxis certification and a requirement to complete periodically.
