This includes financial reporting, taxation, building projects, facility maintenance, grounds maintenance, payroll and certain Government reporting requirements.   Position commences by negotiation, as soon as possible.Successful Candidate CredentialsTo be successful in this role you will have the following credentials:Certified Practising Accountant or Institute of Chartered Accountant qualifications;Have or be prepared to obtain Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School;Working with Children Check clearance;Satisfactory National Police clearance;Have or be prepared to undertake Mandatory Reporting training; andHold appropriate Australian Work rights.Selection CriteriaTo be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following:Active support for the Edmund Rice Charism, Edmund Rice schooling, Catholic ethos and the College Mission;Experience in a similar role is preferred due to the school-specific nature of the duties but consideration will be given to applicants who can demonstrate at least five years’ experience in a varied and busy accounting management role;Demonstrated understanding of payroll;Proven ability to manage and mentor staff, creating a working environment that is effective, harmonious and positive;Ability and willingness to take on new responsibilities as required;Attention to detail;Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal:Ability to relate to staff at all position levels of the organisation;Sound time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work;Ability to work effectively as a team player or autonomously;In depth understanding of GST, ideally as it relates to a not-for-profit organisation.
