Position Overview: Head of Enhanced Learning
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Enhanced Learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and implementing inclusive education strategies. This position requires a dedicated individual who can collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inclusive Education Leadership:
- Develop and implement inclusive education policies and practices.
- Provide leadership in the design and delivery of evidence-based interventions.
- Professional Development:
- Conduct training sessions for teachers and support staff on inclusive teaching strategies.
- Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in inclusive education.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to address the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with external specialists, organise referrals to and coordination of specialist providers such as speech pathologists and external psychologists.
- Assessment and Monitoring:
- Oversee the development and implementation of assessment tools to identify students' needs.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of inclusive education programs.
- Use data to identify students requiring individual learning plans and provide guidance to staff regarding how to set goals for these students.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of interventions and progress, ensuring constant monitoring of cases and manage and upload data to Synergetic, including testing and assessment data.
- Prepare reports for school administration and parents regarding the effectiveness of inclusive learning initiatives.
- Qualifications:
- A teaching degree and relevant postgraduate qualifications or equivalent qualification (e.g., speech pathologist) is required.
- Strong understanding of inclusive education principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team of educators and support staff.
Our teachers are expected to participate in and support our commitment to our students to ensure they have a well-rounded school experience encompassing curriculum, co-curricular and pastoral care in addition to participating in our sporting program through coaching and managing sport teams.
