Maintaining equipment condition and reliability so that company quality and safety targets can be achieved. Experienced in the use of CMMS and other maintenance/reliability tools and practices.The timely action and satisfactory completion of preventative maintenance work as directed. Provide technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams. Where required the timely action and satisfactory completion of machine breakdowns.Where required, assist with root cause investigations and implementation of corrective actions for repetitive failures.Follow safe work practices at all times.Adherence to Opal values, procedures, and policies.Assist with ordering components from external suppliers as necessary with appropriate approval.Respond to specific requests regarding the details of repair and/or maintenance to equipment on a technical basis. Provide reasonable support outside of normal working hours if required. The successful candidate will have the ability to demonstrate strong fault finding and communication skills and have the ability to problem solve and show initiative. To be successful in this role you must be keen, energetic individual who has a good eye for detail, a hard-working ethic and willingness to learn. Specifically for this role, we expect you will have:Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical (Fitting/Machining) Forklift ticket preferred. Confined space trained, preferred. Machining experience.
