The Finance Department is looking for an experienced, hands on Operations Accountant to join the team as a full time member. Reporting to the General Manager - Finance, you will be providing management accounting services to support Operations (Manufacturing and Warehouse)
You will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Provide insightful commentary on Operations performance identifying opportunities to drive cost savings
- Create business case financials for operations Capex proposal, ensuring key risks and alternatives are considered
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Month end and year end tasks including but not limited to processing journals and variance analysis
You will enjoy being an active team member, participate in any ad hoc finance projects and provide support to other team members to ensure there is adequate coverage within the Finance Team.
It goes without saying that you will be an active supporter of a safe work culture and practices and fairness in employee relations.
We are seeking someone who has a strong FMCG management accounting background, who has the ability to convey ideas and facts using language the audience will best understand.
You will be someone who has a strong work ethic with attention to detail who strives for high results and has a willingness to work in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.
The successful applicant will hold a CPA/CA qualification, and in addition to 5+ year’s relevant experience in a Manufacturing/Logistics environment.
