About the roles

Physiotherapist

Wellness Centre Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist

  • 12-month maternity leave contract commencing in August 2021

  • 0845 – 1530 Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday

What you will be doing

  • Provide holistic treatment to our aged care residents for the management of acute of chronic pain

  • Ensure a clean, pleasant and welcoming physical environment
  • Contribute to auditing, review and service development processes
  • Provide advice and education to staff to ensure appropriate care
  • Ensure compliance with all laws, legislation, regulatory frameworks, quality standards, policy, processes and work instructions
  • Provide leadership to the Wellness Centre therapy team, including performance reviews, supporting team members and providing education

Who we are looking for

Essential: 

  • Registered as an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA)
  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated capacity to take a leadership role
  • Reliable and positive work ethic
  • National Police Clearance (current to within three-years)
  • Australian working rights
  • Basic computer skills
  • Well developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Desirable: 

  • Experience working in aged care, community services or disability services 
  • Experience working in a client focused culture that values continuous improvement
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to adapt work priorities and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated understanding of accreditation standards and funding rules
