Production Manager

About the Role:
The role is responsible for planning and coordinating the assembly, modification, continued performance and maintenance of company products and equipment in accordance with customer expectations and MINETEK standards.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Overseeing production to guarantee compliance with customer specifications, service levels and quality standards
- Exceeding set operational targets, monitoring expenditure and performance whilst identifying opportunities for improvement to process efficiency
- Ensuring all production activities meet legislative and regulatory requirements associated with WHS and environment
- Providing continuous feedback, mentoring and guidance to production staff, supporting skills development and performance improvement in accordance with business expectations
- Budget management and influencing applicable cost reduction initiatives, without sacrifice to the consistency of company quality standards
- Investigating problems that arise during the manufacturing process, analyzing root cause and implementing pre-emptive solutions
- Quality control of manufacturing processes and technical support for production equipment and systems
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting to management
Requirements:
- Supervisory expertise, formal training and previous experience working within a production and heavy industrial environment
- A thorough knowledge of equipment assembly and installations, with the ability to diagnose faults and provide technical evaluation of mechanical systems and equipment
- A desire to continually seek efficiency and quality improvements with production, design and manufacturing standards
- An ability to work autonomously and adapt quickly to changing technical/business priorities
- Proficient in the use of MS office, contemporary ERP systems and their application in the use of operational processes
- Highly organised, logical, deadline-driven with an ability to see and operate with the big picture forefront of mind
- Strong decision-making, negotiation and influencing skills with a results-driven approach
