We are a small operator with big ideas. We have embarked on the redevelopment of our iconic, oceanfront Cottesloe site. The new site will offer world-class accommodation, health and community amenities that will be enjoyed both by residents living on-site, and the wider community. The new first stage of this development will be completed by the end of 2021.
About the role
We are looking for two Registered Nurses who will work with our clinical team in the delivery of resident focused clinical care. You will work closely with our Care Managers and have dedicated time to assist with resident assessments and clinical audits.
New or recently graduated Registered Nurse are encouraged to join our organisation and be supported to develop skills, knowledge and confidence. Employment will include regular education, mentoring and CPD opportunities.
What you will be doing
- Undertake assessments, care planning and nursing interventions in
partnership with residents and their representatives, and in line with
resident needs and preferences, professional guidelines and organisational
process. - Liaise with medical, allied health, pharmacies, service providers and
equipment providers to ensure holistic, comprehensive delivery of care. - Document and report care interventions, observations, changes in needs
and resident feedback in an accurate, objective and efficient manner. - Coordinate staff on a shift-by-shift basis.
- Assist in the review and dissemination of clinical policies, procedures and
assessment tools under the direction of the Head of Care and Lifestyle. - Provide clinical advice and education to staff to ensure appropriate care.
- Assist in the delivery of local clinical training and competency programs.
The successful candidate will have:
- A passion for working with older residents and their families.
- An interest in the assessment and review of contemporary care practices.
- Registration with AHPRA as a Division 1 Registered Nurse.
- Attention to detail and well developed written skills.
- High degree of computer literacy.
- Work rights in Australia.
- National police clearance.
- Annual influenza vaccination.
