
Return to Work and Wellbeing Coordinator - 30-month fixed-term
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Return to Work and Wellbeing Coordinator to join our People and Culture team and make a positive impact on our employees’ lives and fostering a culture of wellbeing.
About Us
Bellingen Shire is located on the Mid North Coast of NSW halfway between Sydney and Brisbane and just south of Coffs Harbour. It has a total area of 1,605 square kilometres with a coastline of approximately 10km. The region is renowned for its ecological diversity with State Forests and National Parks covering over 53% of the local government area.
We are a progressive local government authority employing approximately 150 dedicated employees.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Group Leader People and Culture, this crucial role is responsible for providing professional advice, coaching and support through a partnership approach with management and employees. The position will be responsible for the management and return to work of injured workers, and employee health and wellbeing programs.
The ideal candidate will have a diploma (or higher) qualification in a relevant discipline such as work health and safety or health science or similar, Return to Work Coordinator accreditation and demonstrated experience in an injury management role.
To succeed in the role, you will have strong influencing and coaching skills, including demonstrated grievance resolution, counselling and mediation skills, investigative and problem-solving skills, presentation and group facilitation skills, and advanced report writing skills including the ability to develop policies and procedures.

Annual salary of $79,088 to $90,165 (plus super)

Australian Temporary Residents may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
