This integral role will provide support to the Mining, Resource Development and Technical Services teams. The role is part of the Resource Development and Long-Term Planning Department and reports to the Manager Resource Development and Long-Term Planning.This position is being offered on 5/2, 4/3 day shift roster (alternative roster schedules would be considered).Core responsibilitiesManagement of the Site Ground Control Management Plan.Geotechnical inspections, problem solving, and guidance.Mentoring and training of junior engineers.Input into the site Short, Medium and Long-Term Planning processes.Collection and Management of all Geotechnical Data and Systems necessary to support the above responsibilities.Scoping geotechnical investigations and preparation of tenders/proposals.About youTo be successful in this role you will have a tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering/Engineering Geology or Mining Engineering and a minimum of 10 (ten) years previous experience working in an underground mine with advanced knowledge of Seismic monitoring software, and a strong knowledge of Deswik mine planning software.
