QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/LICENCE

  • Relevant qualifications in healthcare (Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, Aged Care, Nursing) highly regarded, or
  • Relevant experience caring for people with a Disability, Mental Health condition, or Complex / Multiple care needs preferred
  • Current Blue Card and Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Screening Card or willingness to obtain
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  • Updated COVID-19 Vaccination
  • Current Driver's licence with a registered/reliable vehicle and comprehensive insurance
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally, non-verbally and written form 
  • Basic computer skills

Desirable: 

Experience in the following skills/conditions is an advantage:

  • Good understanding of Positive Behaviour Support Plans and Restrictive Practice
  • Medication assistance
  • Manual handling - hoisting/slide sheets
  • Catheter care - highly preferrable
  • PEG feeding 
  • Seizure management
  • Stoma care

Experience caring for people with the following disability are preferred:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Acquired Brain Injury
  • Intellectual disability
