Competency Training (RTO#31299) is an industry leading electrical training RTO, owned by Verbrec; with established training facilities in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane (North and West), Central Queensland and Darwin. We deliver publicly scheduled and on-site corporate training courses and manage on-site training for some of the largest companies and projects around the world. We specialise in providing Nationally Recognised Training and assessment services for the Electrical, Engineering, Mining & Resources, Oil & Gas, Logistics and Construction industries.
About the role
This role will join a strong Competency Training team. Reporting to the National Training Manager, you will be responsible for delivering and developing quality training programs to clients in accordance with relevant legislations, policies and the Standards for Registered Training Organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training and Assessment - Delivering nationally recognised qualifications
- Provide ongoing support to leaners
- Contribute to development of programs and resource materials
- Participate in moderation and validation
Due to increased demand for our high-quality training services, we are currently seeking qualified, industry experienced and dynamic Trainers/Assessors who are capable of delivering electrical services qualifications, such as:
- High Voltage Switching Operations (HVSO)
- Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Areas (EEHA)
- Hazardous Area Classification & Design (HACD)
Key Responsibilities:
- Training and Assessment - Delivering nationally recognised qualifications
- Contribute to development of programs and resource materials
- Participate in moderation and validation
- Provide ongoing support to leaners
About you
The successful candidate will be based in Adelaide, with occasional travel to other areas as required. There is likely to be a mix of classroom and workplace-based training and assessment, which may vary depending on the discipline. Your learners may differ from more experienced workers in industry to young job-seekers and career starters; both requiring your expertise to develop their skills.
Mandatory Requirements for HVSO, EEHA and/or HACD
Must Hold:
- An Electrical Licence
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Or previously held Units of Competency for HV Switching, EEHA, HACD etc
- Or previously held Units of Competency for Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas
Desirable:
- Hold Current Units of Competency for HVSO / HVSO Qualifications
- Experience in the HV Industry either in Mining, Oil & Gas, Network Operation or Generation
- EEHA Qualifications
- HACD Qualifications, or experience or exposure to Hazardous Areas Classification & Design
- Experience in Hazardous Area environments either in the Oil & Gas industry, Petrochemical plants, combustible dust industries or refineries
