We bring purpose and meaning to education through targeting partnerships between employers, schools and the community.About the position:As a Youth Development Coach, your role will be to support the engagement and progress of young people in the Transition to Work (TTW) program, from commencement to completion, which includes responsibility for the placement of participants into employment and education outcomes. You’ll help the participants develop a planned pathway to sustainable employment, and actively support them along the journey. You’ll also work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that each participant reaches their potential and achieves a great outcome. Please note that this position is subject to continuing ongoing government funding, which is currently in place until 30 June 2022, but is likely to be extended. About you:You’re a passionate self-starter who really wants to make a difference to the lives of young people in our community. You have initiative and out-of-the-box thinking, but you’re also able to follow procedures, accurately complete key administrative tasks,  and not skip on the attention to detail. You enjoy working with a diverse client group and are driven to achieve performance-based results in line with program objectives and contractual requirements.Key criteria for this position include:Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or appropriate experience in coaching / counselling / working within the 15-24 age group , including people with challenging needs and from diverse backgroundsHighly developed interpersonal and communication skills to liaise and build relationships with a broad range of people at all levels and from diverse backgroundsStrong organisational and time-management skills, and an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as an effective team member to achieve goalsStrong administrative skills including the timely and accurate completion of paperwork, reports, claims etc. including demonstrated skills in MS Office packages including Outlook, Word and Excel.Current NSW Drivers’ LicenseAn understanding of the national Vocational Education and Training agenda will be highly regarded.Sound like you?
